I will be ordering some items from CAW shortly that will likely total over $30. I see that there is a club option where you pay $25 and receive $30 in credit. Is it really as simple as that? How does it work? Do they send you a code? How soon after purchasing the club membership do you receive your $30 credit code?

Yup just that simple. you pay $25 and $30 worth of stuff (shipping not included).
Now, we know we haven't done allot with this lately, but we are working on it. It's tough being small, but we are working the kinks out. We hope to make it better soon.

I've got to become a member. For that matter everyone who can, should. I'd hate to see a great idea disappear because of tight financial times you know. I almost feel like a TV Preacher in this but if everyojne on here could kick in five or ten bucks a month to each of the little guys (EMCE, Cast-A-Way, CTVT) everymonth I think we could all weather this economic downturn well.
I know I sound all preachy/ hippy but I just want to see hard working dreamers survive and thrive :yeah:

Nothing wrong with that-I agree.
Wasn't there some sort of Tiki toy that was supposed to come with this?

I was just about to order the club membership, but it tried to charge me shipping. If I have to pay $7 shipping, that negates the $5 I would be saving off my total. I guess it was too good to be true.
I just dug up my tiki and certificate, but I, too, can't find any member code. Ugh. Was it in an email?
YAY! I found it!
The Castaway Club merchandise certificate! I was looking for castaway as the sender in my email, but mine was sent from david lee and the email subject title is "Welcome to the Cast-A-Way Toys Club!"
I hope that helps others to hunt it down.
DAMN! IT EXPIRED!!!!!! ON 8/2/09!!!!! I never got to use my $30.

Hey great to see you K. I'm sure if you write to them they will accomodate you. Castaway is awesome.
^ Hey, thanks, Slippery! Good to see you, too, and thanks for the tip. I will contact them. I know they're great. I haven't been around much: got a new job and I'm really busy. I'm not complaining! I'm happy to have a job right now. Still, I miss being here and doing my customs. Drat.

I took that to mean the $30 code could not be used towards shipping charges on future purchases. I forgot that they were mailing out a physical item with the club sub. (the tiki), I would prefer an e-mail with the $30 code and no shipping charges.

I just got my order in the mail and I have to say I am very happy with the toys. I like that they feel a bit heavier than the original Megos. Nice work! I am definitely joining the club.

That's weird, I boiled 2 pairs and did not have that problem. A while back I read someone heated the boots with a hair dryer. Give it a shot!
