After seeing what they did with Two Face I would really love to see Penguin and Joker done in actual suits too. Not just the one piece jumpsuit but an actual shirt, tie, vest, pants and jacket. I was thinking they wouldn't do it that way but if a 4th stringer villian like Two Face can get such a great treatment then I'm sure the two hottest selling Mego foes Joker and Penguin can get a nice updated look too. I really hope EMCE is going to do this.

That's not a bad idea, but I'd rather see previously unmade villains get the nod first.

How about with a Marshall Rogers headsculpt? Other than the Golden Age version by Jerry Robinson, Rogers is one of my favorite Joker artists. It would also be cool if he came with a Laughing Fish and the card that has become part of the story behind his creation.
I agree that it would be better to see characters that haven't been made get released first, but c'mon, it's the Joker. You know we have to get him at some point. How often does a superhero toy line feature Batman and not Mr. J?

Especially Joker and Penguin - whose original Megos are pretty good. But given his marketability and status as a batfoe, I'm actually surprised we don't already have a Joker figure announced.

I'd like to see a lot less villians, actually...

Exactly, you can hardly call Two-Face a fourth stringer, he's one of the main villains, along side Joker and Penguin

He's probably 5th overall on a Bat-villain recognizability chart. Right behind Joker, Pengy, Riddler and Catwoman. Still amazed he never made it to the 66 show.

I would love to see Joker and Penguin in full costumes in stead of a one piece jumpsuit. I would also love to see new, never released villains like Mr.Freeze, the Scarecrow, Poison Ivy and many more. Still, we're talking Joker and Penguin here. It's almost impossible to ignore the sure succes these would have when rereleased. I think we'll probably see them before any others. All we can do, is hope the line is a huge succes and others will eventually be released

He was considered too scary

I heard rumors of Clint Eastwood being a possibility for trying out for the show and they were going to just make half of his face either green or pink with a scar or two on it and do the half and half suit thing instead of making him horribly disfigured.

I know about the Clint Eastwood rumor, never heard about the scars tho. But as far as I've heard there never really were plans to do him

Yep, Eastwood was going to be the man for the part. Still like my fantasy casting of Shatner. Frank Sinatra wanted to be the Joker, but I guess Romero beat him to it. He would have been a cool Two Face, too.

We can all bank on seeing Joker sooner than later. He's too popular.
But as much as I love Penguin...I agree with above. Let's focus on unreleased bad guys first. I'd rather a new Scarecrow than a second Penguin.

I like to have unreleased characters too but I really think all the figures Mego did should be done again in Mattel style. For me these are not enough like Mego to where I can display them with old Megos. They just don't look right with each other IMO. So I really want Joker,Penguin and Riddler done again by Mattel. I think they'll be much better. Though I admit the heads of both Mego's Joker and Penguin were easily two of the best heads Mego ever did. Mattel will have to work very hard to live up to them. I also hope Penguin by Mattel is shorter.

He might have been a fourth stringer back in the sixties (but then again so was Riddler before the TV show), but you don't get featured in TWO Major Batman films (one of which is amongst the highest grossing films of all time) and not make the A-list.

If they're as faithful to the originals as Green Arrow was, I don't know if I'd buy. The only reason I'm buying Superman is because of the different head sculpt. The only reason I'm buying an Aquaman is the improved costume. The only reason I'm buying Batman is that the cowl is painted black on the front.

Oh how I'd love to see a Mattel Penguin...
But Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy would be just as nice ;-)

See I thought Mattel's Green Arrow was much nicer then what Mego did. Whereas with Superman I didn't see much difference at all between Mego and Mattel. I thought Superman was closer to the Mego then Green Arrow was. I actually have to admit I think Mego's Superman outfit was slighter better. I didn't care for the fact his shorts on the Mattel version was about 4 shades lighter in red then the boots and cape. I did think the Mattel cape was better though.

I dunno, to be honest, I never even heard of Two Face until Tommy Lee Jones played him in that Batman movie.
He might be popular now, but still not as popular as the old standards.

He was in almost every comic and cartoon ever done, well before TLJ

That was just figure of speech, I just meant that he's a well known Batvillain, long before Tommy Lee Jones played him

If he was not in the '66 TV series or Superfriends, he was not a popular Bat villian and that's why I never heard of him.

I don't know about Superfriends, but he wasn't in the 66 TV series because he was deemed too scary

there really was no way to make Two Face "campy"....he wouldn't have fit in with the other villain portrayals

Well, I'm sure they could've come up with something, but I agree it wouldn't have been a true Two-Face

The villains weren't as campy as the Dynamic Duo were. Actually some of the portrayals were a bit on the creepy side, see Riddler, Joker and Penguin.

I kind of agree, he seems there by default. Butthere was acyually a Batman for called False-Face, I think.
I think those FF episodes are just terrific--and he was in the B&B cartoon recently!

somewhere I saw or read that the False Face character was
their idea to replace two face because he was deemed too scary for the show. False face seemed stupid to me.
I guess having a horribly difigured character wasn't funny enough.
they did do a cheap *** version o killer moth on batgirl's demor reel

Yes, there had better be a Mister J in this DC retro Super Heroes collection sometime. A set of DC Heroes and Villains with no Mister J is like a Box of Cereal with no toy waiting at the bottom.
....and I am talking the real Joker. No Heath Ledger crap with his face all scrapped up and looking like his makeup was done by someone who stepped off the short bus. :smiley1:
