As much as we love the pink short short-shorts version for nostalgic reasons, I'm not quite sure that will fly if Mattel is attempting to capture a contemporary crossover market as well. It might be too "retro" if y'know what I mean and I think you do.
What compromises are you willing to see on a Brainiac? Purple shirt (as so many have been insisting it is)? Leggings? Pants?
The problem I see in every version since the Robotic super powers incarnation is that they are not "retro" enough. I can't see any of these really working...
The best I can think of is a compromise between the original look and the animated series version.
Make it more of a spaceman jumpsuit with that classic Curt Swan head.
Does anyone think that Mattel could ever make those Booty Shorts work on a cloth action figure?
I mean it's one thing on a sculpted figure...
