Because the Prototype we saw before, was on a Cast-A-Way Body. Now that it'll be on an EMCE skinny Body...will they "Beef" the Arms & Shoulders up?

Here's the original Flash prototype from the San Diego Comic Com:

Bif Bang Pow! unveils 8 Flash Gordon Movie figure at SDCC - Mego Talk

I don't know why it wasn't on display at Toy Fair. Maybe the prototype is being revised as a result of the switch from Cast-A-Way to EMCE?

I don't see that big of a difference in the Castaway body compared to the EMCE one, except the articulation at the bicep. Not sure why they couldn't just use the same costume and head on a EMCE body for a mock up.

BBP wants a new head sculpt - they did not want to go with the head

When Jason Lenzi contacted me about doing this project last year, we went to work on a prototype. Jason (Black Knight) had Mego-ized their Flash head, we had Derek Combs paint it and produce a costume while I designed the backer card to their specs. We produced a great prototype, but unfortunately we couldn't produce them on BBP's terms. Because we didn't charge them for the service I asked for the prototype back.

Are you going to sell the prototype?

Did they say WHY they didn't like the original sculpt? I thought it was cool, and I still want one.

I think it had to do with production of the figure and not the actual prototype.

The Flash sculpt looked really good when I saw it but the guys at BBP told me it wasn't quite ready for toy fair. It's going to knock socks.

I seriously doubt it. It's not mine it belongs to Cast-a-Way Toys (Me, Jason and any future partners) and it represents what we "could" have done with the property. It's intrinsic value to us may be more than someone would pay for it.

So which sculpt are these dipwads going to use?

I REALLY wanted a Sam Jones Flash head darn it all to heck!

It's a Sam Jones head - and they are not dipwads.

Sorry Doc, didn't mean to offend you.
