    1975 Childworld Flier

As far as 70s toystores go, none are as far remembered and beloved as Childworld, a chain which had at one point 180 stores across the united states. This 1975 flier preserves what they had to offer during that time including the greats like Mego Star Trek and Planet of the Apes:

Oh man! Going to Child World was the equivalent of going to Disneyland for me. It was kind of far away from where I lived so we didn't go there too often but it was so cool to see a whole store of just TOYS!

Awesome ads. I totally dig the prices. I have a few MEGOs that have the Childs World price sticker on them still

WOW! I have/had so many of those things: Easy Bake Oven, Raggedy Ann & Andy Talking Alarm clock, Baby That-a-way, View master, Tiffany Taylor, Sweet April (sans stroller), Karate Men, Evel Knievel, the Enterprise, POTA. 1975 was a great year!

Upon closer inspection, shirt stuffers are not what I expected.

'75-'77 were the best toy years for me and this really captures one of those fantastic years. AND the Huffy Thunder Road. I'm not sure that that's the exact bike I got in 1976, but it sure looks close. That baby spelled freedom for me!

I'd love to get that Childworld truck. I have a Kiddie City truck, so this would be a great compliment.

That is true for me too. Child World was my parents' Christmas shopping store when we were kids. When the fliers came in, you would start writing your list. Probably got there once or twice a year, but it was one of the best places to visit as a kid. Good memories.

Man, I miss Child World. Especially hitting their clearance aisle in the late 80's.

Toy stores just plain suck now. Child World, Playworld and the old Toys r us completely different from today's crap offerings.

Does anyone have any clear/high resolution pictures with this Childworld logo?

I think it was the late 60s/earlier 70s logo.

There's just something so cool about catalogs and flyers that were illustrated, rather than photographed. I know it wouldn't be practical nowdays but I'd love to see it again.
