I like the spooky look. Nice work Sandy.
I've always thought that was an intriguing aspect of Batman's persona. I felt that is was lacking in most cinematic interpretation of the character. When I was making BDE, the spooky aspect how I put him on film, was just as important to me as making him look imposing and strong. To me, it was all part of trying to capture what I loved in the comics I read as a kid.

Sandy, that's truly wonderful. Yours is the best filmic depiction of The Batman thus far - it's almost unfair that yours should also be the best action-figure depiction as well!

That is incredible. So much detail. I would swear it was in a larger scale than Mego. To put that much detail into something that small. Wow!!!
Cmonster
Feb 25, '10, 12:39 AM
Yeah, I overdid it a bit on the detail for a mego, but I was doing a likeness of someone in a mask, so I figured what the heck. Most of the other sculpts I've done aren't THAT detailed. LOL I use a jewelers magnifying visor when I'm working in mego scale. I can do a 1/6 scale head with the naked eye. Any smaller than that, I need optical assistance.:smiley1:

When I growing up in the early 70's I remember how spooky Batman was to me Unlike the Tv version. The comic book version scared me to no end....BDE was the first film i ever saw that captured that scary version of Batman Plus....the Batman you put on film didn't scare easily and is a total Badass!!! when he pulls out his batarangs and spits then gets into a battle stance now that's Batman!!
