    Sesame Sheets

OK, I'm convinced that catalog photographers just used refridgerator boxes as a substitute for kids' beds, the corners on that thing would cut children. That being said, there is nothing cooler than old school Sesame Street merchandising art, I miss it.

Seriously, though, few things represent the innocence of my childhood more than Sesame Street. It was pure, simple kid stuff.

I still remember the horrible icky feeling of telling my mom I didn't want any more sesame street stuff, i was 8 and her youngest, it had to be crushing.

I drew a sesame street mural on my daughters wall before she was born, i just removed it yesterday to make way for Princesses. I need a drink...

^ It's always sad when kids outgrow Sesame Street....but look at the bright side....they'll reach a certain age when Sesame Street becomes nostalgia for them and you can relive it with them all over again. I just went through this when I was watching the new "40 Years of Sunny Days" DVD and my daughters were geeking out over The Ladybug Picnic.....

If you get the "Sesame Street Old School" sets there is a disclaimer pointing out that the educational content is there for entertainment purposes only. So i guess the values of the letter "S" have changes since Superman saved the boat from the stormy sea and put it on the sand. Maybe they changed the spellings of these words?

Dude, everytime we go to a hill my children cry and ask me where all the "Lower case n"s are, this show is an educational menace.

I had better SESAME STREET sheets than that as a kid.
MIne weren't "sleep themed" and had a billion different characters on 'em.
TWIDDLE BUGS, HARDHEAD HARRIS...obscure characters like those.

SESAME STREET remains one of my favorite franchises to collect. I wish
I had more vintage SS stuff.

What are the figures on the table next to the bed in that ad? I don't think I've seen those before and they appear to be just set dressing.

I was still watching Sesame Street when I was about 7 or 8, and I didn't care what the other kids thought. I still love the old school Sesame Street. It was at the heart of my childhood.
