    Early Imperial Toy catalog

I've posted a few scans on my blog tonight of the 1973 Imperial Toy catalogue, following on from Brian's awesome Imperial page on Plaid Stallions.

Interestingly many of the toys in the 1978 catalog on PS are also in the 1973 catalog, I guess if you're on a good thing stick to it!

    Cheers!
    Will

That name just kills me, it's almost hard not to say King Kong Gorilla when you see it, pure genius :-) I really want to squeeze just one too, I can't really explain why.

PS _ Actually I think I need to re-jig my post, I've assumed that all those scans on your page B are from the '78 catalogue, but having another look just know they are mixed aren't they? The pink one looks to be earlier than mine too, since they are introducing the PoopaTroopers. The link to the Close Encounters page takes me to the 78 cat I see now. D'oh! Will fix it tomorrow night...

I have the '72 Imperial catalog. Can we swap scans?

One of the things I have not been able to add to my collection- a fistful of poopatroopers! I remember throwing them out of George Rafferty's third floor apt window. Too cool!

I must have spent a small fortune buying Poopatroopers and teeny bouncers out of the tub like that at tops in toys when I was a kid.
