I cannot sign in to eBay.

I got an e-mail saying that my password may have been compromised and eBay re-set it. They tell me to use "forgot your password" to change it to something new, the only problem is the security questions are not working!?!?!?!? I do know my mother's maiden name and that's what they're killing me with.

On top of that, I have NO idea how to email eBay for help.

AND I can't even email them from "contact us" because it requires a password!!! *%#*&!!!

I AM SOOOOO FRUSTRATED!!!!! Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Yikes, Wee!

I sure hope it gets cleared up. If/when you find out how your account was compromised, can you share it? I often wonder about the security of ebay accounts, etc.

I hate ebay sometimes. It sounds like someone got a hold of your info. and ebay seen it and stopped it. You will be glad they did, once you get it straightened out. I once had my account taken over and the scammers were selling all kinds of stuff and having the money sent to another account that was also stolen. It really was a hassle. Hope it works out for you.

go to live chat and then do what damian said, i hope it gets tsraigtened out. the answer for your security question is caps sensitive make sure your caplock is on or off depending on how you answered. i know the ebay password is caps sensitive so i bet the security question s also. mike

I am trying not to dog you or sound mean, but how do you not know your mother's maiden name? I understand if she passed away when you were very young or something like that. I am just wondering, not trying to get you mad or anything.

This is the basic question almost every credit card company ask to verify accounts.

I think you misunderstood,he says he knows it but it's not working, that's why Mike said to watch for the cap sensitive thing,

So any luck man? let us know and pm me your address so I can send you my wax monkeys

I was getting ready for a snipe a couple weeks ago and a message popped up saying I needed to change my password because it was no longer up to their standards for safty. They cost me the auction becasue it took so long to get the darn password changed. :wall: ebay really can suck

Reading is Fundamental

I do know my mother's maiden name and that's what they're killing me with.Maybe if the account was compromised, the thief changed the answer to the security question to buy themselves more time.

Thank you guys VERY VERY much. I was so angry. More so about not being able to get through to eBay then having the account frozen (that was good, if it was compromised).

I was able to rectify the problem through eBay's live chat. The challenge was remembering my address from 2 moves ago when I registered on eBay.

Thanks again, everybody. This place rocks!
