Just out of curiosity... Header picture

The picture used here on the Classic Sci-Fi logo-where does it come from? It has the classic late 60's-early 70's cheeze that I love so much. I must know more!

It's from U.F.O., the live-action Gerry Anderson series.

It's pretty much the same, with a silver miniskirt. I think it's the first episode where they show that the moonbase crew's outfits double as duty/offduty wear.

I know, the changing scene alone was worth renting the series!!

HAW! Actually, the show had a lot of memorable bits:

                  -the eyeball scene. *eeewwww*
-when Straker fought the "invisible" guy
-the mesh suits worn by the Skydiver crews
                  -EVIL CAT!!!!!

Heh, I made that header and honestly, had no clue what it was. I was doing a search for anything that looked like old sci-fi with a person in front of a computer. That popped up and I used it.

It's in my top five favourite Sci-fi series. I've always disliked the common review that the characters lack the warmth of say, Star Trek. Star Trek isn't the acid test of a series, it's got an upbeat positive vibe.

UFO doesn't, the world is being invaded by unknown forces and the only people who know are SHADO, of course it's depressing.

I loved the show as a kid. It ran for 1 season in 1970 and didn't get picked up. They tried to revive the show a few years back but nothing came of it. The whole S.H.A.D.O. concept was great.
