I admit I've never been a big WII fan, but Mario Cart has me hooked. Anyone else playing?

We bought a Wii for my son for Christmas, and Mario Cart was the one game I really wanted for it (used to play it all the time on the Super NES). It's really fun, I've played that game a lot since Christmas. :)

My son set it up so we could play multiplayer online while he's at school in NY and we're here in Mass. Very cool option. One of my favorite games.

How much does a Wi-Fi adapter cost for the Wii? I got spoiled with my PS3 having Wi-Fi built in and all.

Nintendo website wi-fi usb connector "discontinued for now"---we just go through our wireless router.

But how does the Wii connect to your router? I have a wireless network set up at our house, but I was under the impression that the Wii needed an adapter to connect wirelessly.

Interesting, I didn't know it could connect wirelessly out of the box, I assumed it couldn't and didn't even try. :smiley1: Thanks for the info!

Well I'll be damned, I tried it and the Wii immediately found my wireless network. I just had to input my password and I was connected. I don't know why I thought that I needed an adapter (like you do for the Xbox), I'm usually pretty savvy with stuff like this. Thanks for the help guys! :)

Now load Skype to your laptop and you can not only play the game but talk with friends from all over like they were right there in the room.

The plastic wheel shell that comes with it is pretty much useless but it's actually one of the better games on the Wii. I personally prefer it to Double Dash.
