Are the Castaway people still making Captain Action and Dr. Eville?

I just scored a Kato uniform set for Capt. Action on ebay and I want to know if it will fit an 8" figure.

When are they going to have the Captain himself? I'd like to get my hands on one.

They first released 8" figures of Captain Action and Dr. Eville, then they released Captain Action in a Secret Agent stealth uniform and dr. Evil with the dr. ling uniform.
Now comes CA as The Phantom and Dr.evil as redbeard the Pirate.
I hope they will continue the CA line.
I also heard from Ed Catto of Captain Action Enterprises that they are working on having an 8" CA out next spring and a 12" CA for next Christmas!
I do not know if it is castaway or someone else who will be producing these.

Barring any unforseen circumstances that's us:wink:

Thanks Dave, that's a great relief.

Now what about outfits? I got the 1:6 scale version of the Kato outfit; could you do it in 1:9?

I'm hopefully going to get a Bruce Lee head from BlackKnight after Xmas, and plan to put him on a ZICA body in the spring.

No disprespect to your figures, but it's not as ripped as I want it.

Green Hornet would be good too.

I know that you have the generic masked hero heads in your store, so could you do a generic unmasked version?

Is the 12 inch one going to be a straight repro of the old body or an upscaled Castaway body?

Dave,
What else are you guys working on? Can you give any hints? What about those Flash figures? Come on tell us something.... Perhaps a new monster line from you?????

We are strictly 8 inch for now... I can see where that post sounded confusing. If 8 inch Cap' Action goes on in will be us doing it. The 12inch stuff is another venture, but from what I hear it sounds very exciting. I don't know any of the details (body, costumes etc...)

12 inch stuff is on our radar, and we have the tools to do it. Our factory already tools 12 inch stuff so we just need to get to that point and say go. When will that be? YGIAGAM...

Hey there, I'm really interested in getting a blue "Dr. Eville", and will get the flesh colored Redbeard Eville, only if I get confirmation from David or GaGa that there will be no more blue Evilles. I'm really interested in the Ling mask, too. The last report of "maybe" was in January. Any news on the status of remaking the two?

Thanks much!

One of my greatest regrets was not buying the Playing Mantis reissue Phantom costume.

now it sells for a fortune. But then, why shouldn't it?, it IS a fantastic set, and it's not like the Phantom gets a TON of figure releases.

The original CastAWay Phantom figures did not have removable masks. These one referred on this thread are 8" Captain Action and Dr. Eville figures dressed as The Phantom and Redbeard respectively and do have removable masks. They are a beauty! We are all anxiously awaiting for these to ship out, and NO UPDATES YET!

Hey, first post to the forum, and I am really happy to hear that things are continuing to move forward with CA. I hope there will be more costumes for the 8" line, and I hope there is a 12" repro! Thanks to all who are keeping the Captain alive!

Talked to the factory rep today (well, email). He was supposed to be sending us pictures of the products as they progress thru the production line. unfortunately the factory had a power outage today and they are closed tomorrow for a holiday. Even with that, they are still on target for finishing the figures by June 10th. then they ship to us. so hang on, we're getting close.

Now it's June 16th. Was the target for June 10th met? Have they been shipped yet?
