Trying to make a Gladiator

Not Russell Crowe, the mohawk guy.

I've had this figure in it's current stage for like two months not sure what direction to go. I can't decide if I should use a larger body for bulk, use bigger hands, which I think I should. There is something "off" about this and wanted to throw this out here to see what it is.

Maybe the sleeves look too bulky? Have you tried making them slimmer?

I was leaning towards that. I haven't put any hems on it till I figured them out. It's a full sleeve under the red, so maybe I'll trim that back and make a tighter-fitting red sleeve. I still think I need to get some of Farley's hero fists to complete this.
