Do you guys remember the Starsky and Hutch figures that came out in the mid-late 70's? They also had the tomato red Ford Grand Torino that you could put them in, and it spun around, and the siren light flashed on and off, and also the siren....:drool_y:

It's not common, but it does show up on ebay from time to time. I've seen two boxed, complete ones sell on ebay within the past few weeks. One went for about $175 and the other went for around $200 (yes, I'm trying to get one. I'm still kicking myself for not buying a really nice MIB one that had a BIN of $100 last year :ugh_y: )

I LOVE Starsky & Hutch! I have the Mego figures posed inside the Red Tomato. I have all four box sets on DVD and the family watch them quite a bit in the Fall. I have seasons for watching classics and Starsky & Hutch go with that Autumn breeze! Hope to get one soon!!! This heat has been oppressive to say the least in Louisville. I also have the movie made a few years back and think it is hysterical. I think alot of people not from that era didn't get all of the jokes. It's a true classic.

I love the Torino. I got a decent deal on mine a while back, but the stickers were kind of ratty. I repro'd them out and made them new. It's a great toy and makes one wonder why Mego never did an 8" scale General Lee for the Dukes.

Here, buy yourself a set cheap

Wouldn't it be easy if there was a place on the internet where you could find that kind of info and about the products they made. :wink_y:

It would be like a virtual Museum about the company.

You mean with galleries full of pictures? Oh wow, great idea, I hadn't even thought of that. Imagine there being such a place...

I have the first pilot (movie) and a lot of eps on tape. I loved when Comcast had these On Demand. I bid on the guys w/ the Torino once, and when I saw how much it went for, I never tried again.

I was kind of wishy washy on the series as a kid, although I remember watching it in syndication.

As an adult mego collector, I got really into it for a while, saw most of the run on TNN before is become Spike.

I`m sure I watched an episode or two when I was young because my dad liked it although it was usually on way past my bedtime.

The figures are great and as well as owning a carded set I am now thinking about a loose set as well after picking up a loose Chopper to for Starsky and Hutch to aprehend.

On a side note regarding the car - has anyone seen the early (possibly pilot) episode of The Dukes Of Hazzard where the General Lee and a S&H Torino race around a scrapyard?

I believe I have posted this before but this used to belong to a mate who is a big time fan of the show. In comparison to the weedy cars us Brits usually drive this thing was an absolute beast.

Hi, I have both Starsky & Hutch (Im in the UK so I have the Palitoy leather vest) and a Huggy Bear. Im a huge fan of the show and I got all 4 seasons on DVD.

I need to get Capt Dobey soon, although he'll be getting a fat body on him and a Doc grey suit, Im not too sure about that blue suit he has.

Theyre great, I was CTVT had done them so I could get my kids cheaper figures.

You and me both. I can't believe what crap that was.

I am a big fan of the show. I own all four seasons on DVD and I own the mego dolls that I gave a fashion makeover awhile back because I always thought the clothes on the dolls were stupid and not something they'd wear.

I have a complete set carded and loose as well as the car. I really need to get the Palitoy S&H figures though. They have been on my want list for a long time now. Come to think of it I need the 2-pack with the guns as well.

I've always wondered: what guns did the two pack come with? Existing Mego guns (eg. from an Action Jackson set) or were they guns made specifically for this set, either by Mego or Palitoy?

Yeah, I got it off a classic Tv Toys going out of business sale on their site. I think it's probably still going on.
I have never seen Hutch in all four seasons wear that weird looking turtle neck. I found his shirt and leather vest on the CTVT's site.
