"12" Kit Bash Captain Action Flash Gordon

Okay I wanted to Post this. Since it's not a Mego I decided to post it here.

Yesterday I went to a local Holiday faire and i was able to pick up a few Captain action repro outfits for cheap. One of them was the Flash Gordon space suit which I've been wanting for a loooooong time.

Now if anyone one Knows I really dislike the Captain action figure it's self I always thought it had a hideous face........I had picked up a cool Gi Joe diver figure some time ago and I always thought it would make a cool Flash Gordon.

So finally yesterday i was able to kit bash the two figures and I was really happy with the results. I may give the figure a coat of yellow paint for the hair...or just leave it as is.........

Ok I gave him the Golden Repaint...I avoided his eye brows I just don't have the steady hands to do that but I'm very Happy with the results.......
Funny when i was painting his hair I kept thinking about Buster Crabbe's saying how much he hated dying his hair for the part of Flash Gordon. He said he had to wear a hot when he went out because he would get whistled and get cat calls....lol:smiley1:

Oh, I can only imagine. I know of a Dude who frosted the tips of his hair and when he first stepped out, other Dudes were saying, "Nice hair, Brokeback!". :smiley1:

Ahh man that's rough:smiley1:.......When i saw this Joe i had to buy him he looked like Flash Gordon to me. Glad i was finally able to Kitbash this the way i wanted it.
