    Sleep Tight Tony Manero Jr.....

Saturday Night Fever didn't garner a ton of merchandise save for the soundtrack, some gumcards (which I will admit I bought) and this bedding set. I realize the power of Travolta but this movie with it's adult themes and language seems like a strange kid's bed set.

Parents threw a fit over Alien merchandise, but not this.

    Weird.

You know, even Grease was pretty adult-oriented, but it was marketed to kids too around the same time. Heck, I saw it in theaters when I was three!

Who said that bedding set was for kids?

Seriously though, perhaps this set did come out alongside the PG rated re-release of the movie, which removed lots of the launguage and sexual situations. This is how I first saw the movie, in a double feature with Grease.

One thing I remember getting was a color poster set for both Saturday Night Fever and Grease, which was in the kids section of K-Mart after the PG re-release.

Would fit right in if you have a disco ball and a lighted floor in your room

I'm pretty sure that set was met to be sold to 20 yr olds still living at home... LIKE Tony Manero
