In North America, the term jelly refers to a clear fruit spread consisting of set, sweetened fruit (or vegetable) juice. Additional pectin may be added in some instances where the original fruit does not supply enough, for example with grapes.

Jam contains both fruit juice and pieces of the fruit's (or vegetable's) flesh,[12] however some cookbooks define jam as cooked and gelled fruit (or vegetable) purees.[13]

Properly, the term jam refers to a product made with whole fruit, cut into pieces or crushed.

I'm kind of partial to that congealed stuff you scrape off of Spam. Tastes pretty good on toast.

I like Strawberry, and Grape Jam the best, but never that artificial corn syrup junk in the little packets. Yuck. I also can't stand mint jelly or apricot anything.

I'm about to make dinner, and I now have a serious craving for fresh baked biscuits with jelly, jam, preserves and/or marmalade...and probably some butter.

Favorites
- with peanut butter: grape or strawberry.
- alone on biscuits/toast: apple-cinnamon or pineapple-apricot. The first time I tried pineapple-apricot, I was shocked at how good it was.

Off to the kitchen.

Since we are talking JAM (and NOT Jelly), I have always been a Strawberry Man (Hey. . .I think I just invented a new super hero!), or Plum.

If we are talking jelly. . . . . . .then it must be for WRESTLING!!!!!
