    Hands/Gloves

    Hi Everyone,

I was a member here long ago (before kids!!) and am getting back into customizing since I have a "little" more free time now. I am just finishing up a Tim Drake Robin and am looking for some input as to how to make the cuffs for "fake" gloves....the hands will be painted. It seems simple in theory but with the lycra material I have, it seems very thick and bulky to look good.

Thanks in advance for any input.

      Hmmmm....

I've started using cloth cuffs for mine. If I'm making repro hands I can generally match the colour pretty well. If you make cuffs for coloured hands I've found it's best to make a real tight to the arm opening at the wrist, and put the hands on AFTER the cuff. I've also had to experiment with the pattern too. You have to cut them big, because they lose a lot of size once you sew the hems in.
