    Drawings before the sculpture (Star Trek)

    Before scult head, I make a series of sketches of the head in all facets. I started in many designs.

    In my part Star Trek, here is an example of Harry Mudd from the episode Mudd's woman. I drew the head in 8 different angles here are the first 4:

        YOU DRAW????

        That's fantastic! Way better than any of the crap that I put on paper.

        Looks so lifelike I half expected it to actually start speaking!

              Pascal, you should draw some more Trek characters so I could use them as a reference for my sculpting

                What she said!

                I'd love to see some other characters too, not just Trek!

                But only if you can spare the time, I know that you probably have a HUMONGOUS amount of stuff to do on your plate.

                      Thank you for your comments. It is much easier for me to draw that scult.

                      here are the last 4 "Harry" Mudd:

                      For now, I continue my playsets.

                      As for heads, I draw a series Star Trek (Charles Evans, Gary Mitchell, and many more). Next, I attack a few other areas:
                      - Planet of the Apes (some apes and some humans);
                      - The Invaders;
                      - Batman (some secondary characters);...

                        Pascal do you draw the subject while its moving...or do you pause the picture? I can't draw well anymore...out of practice.

                        If it's a cartoon, I can draw the image while the cartoon plays...but have never been able to do that with humans or apes. It has to be a still photograph.

                        And I can't draw from memory, like some people could.

                            I use a mix to draw. I watch the film or series. I go back a few times certain scenes. And I print some pictures. But when I draw, I'm not at my TV. And therefore, I am sometimes disappointed with my result. For example, in the last 4 heads of "Harry", I don't like the one at top left.

                            To me, it's much easier to draw non-human (aliens, monsters, apes,,...), and cartoon characters.
