But.... where's Marty in all this?!

Plenty of mentions of: Takara (creator of Microman & Transformers) and Marvel. No Mego? No Marty?

          Something is fishy.

I disagree, especially since I just saw Marty running down my street with a wheelbarrow full of money.

I think AGE got what it wanted for the property and is now letting others control it. Call it safe speculation.

              Why?
I doubt he was involved in anyway when Palisades rereleased the Micronaut's back in the early 2000's. I doubt he is involved this time as well.

It's not fishy - I know the answer but I don't want to give answers
for someone else. Marty Abrams was definitely involved in the
Hasbro announcement - but to what extent and the details, I will
                not mention.

Ken Abrams is a member here. If he wants to discuss it, that is
                his call.

The only problem I see is knowing hasbro they will probably just reissuecurrent Microman stuff (ala transformers) & bring it here most of the collectors aready have the Japanese versions.

I'd love to see updated versions of the classic stuff (Space Glider, Galactic Warrior, Acroyear, Time Travelers, etc...) and aliens (along with all new figures)...I wonder what they'll put out for figures, though. I hope they find a way to keep most of the articulation of the original figures (or the added articulation of the modern Microman figures).

I can't say I am too excited about the news until I see something. Those figures SOTA were going to release years ago were horrible. These could go either way.

I'd like to see a mix of classic and comic book versions.

Is there anything in the press releases to support the idea that the toy company & J.J. Abrams are doing a Micronauts re-launch based on ideas and situations in connection with the old Marvel Bill Mantlo & Michael Golden comic book? I know that Mike Mantlo, who is Bill's brother, could certainly use the royalties as Bill Mantlo requires round the clock medical care and monitoring. Also Marvel owns certain characters and if they aren't in on this you won't see Bug, Acroyear, the Commander or Marrionette as they appeared in the comic.

Also, love this custom from those Marvel Boards!
