Musical lighted tree from Lowes. Runs on 4.5V electric or battery operated.
I recently decorated the tree with candy canes. Not currently shown. This is already an older picture. I need to snap new ones again. The candy canes used is just like the candy cane that Santa is holding in the picture.
The head which I am not happy with at the moment is just a temporary fill in for now. I wanted to see how it would look and now I know. I think that it looks like crap. I have another head (more realistic) that has just been recently cast. Needs to be painted still.
The suit is from a Santa Claus ornamental figure that I picked up some time ago. The suit fits the Mego body amazingly well as you can see in the picture above.
I still need reindeer for the sleigh. Any ideas and or suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Very cool display, but I agree he needs a better head

I hope that you eventually remember. That would be awesome if I could score one. It sounds cool. I would like to see pictures if anyone reads this and remembers. Thanks!

Laurie usually goes on vacation this time of year, so you might have to wait.
I have two of the Santa heads actually, one Caucasian, and one African American.
I just haven't found the right body for either one.

I have been wanting to create a custom Santa for about 4 years. I can't find an appropriate suit anywhere. I really need to find the suit first before I'll seriously start working on him.
I like Mego Santas and this one is no exception. He's already cool, but once he has a new head he'll be even better.

Same here, I especially like Derek's suit.

What kind of Santa? European or American?
In places like England and Europe he wears different outfits, or he does in the Santa Claus legend.
He's worn everything from a green suit, to a red one, to a long fur coat, to a long robe.
He also started out as relatively thin, since he was based on St. Nicholas of Turkey, who was a bishop in ancient times.
European and American Santas are quite alike really, no major differences.
Don't care too much for the green one tho

A belated thank you for the link Joe. :cool_y: I have been kind of in and out of here lately (mostly out) so I am kind of getting caught up again. Much appreciated. IF by chance I cannot obtain the head in question I "think" I may have a good head for my Santa now.
