I need ninja swords

For Mego-scale figures. I can find them all day long in the 1/6 scale. I'm am trying to find out if anyone sells these, makes these or has ideas on how to make one and with what materials.

I need at least six of these, so it also needs to be practical. I'm probably asking too much and just need to go hover the TRU clearance bins and see what gets thrown in there.

Sigma 6 swords should work but finding 6 of them may prove difficult.

Check the dollar stores Scott. You might also find what you need in some of the new middle size hard plastic GI Joe's or TMNT figures.

That's a cool idea, JOhn. I guess I didn't think of them because they've cut back so far on their toy sections due to the lead poisoning scare months ago. They've just not recovered. I never see anything there anymore that isn't a frisbee or made out of rubber. I'll keep an eye out, though.

Second on the Dollar Tree suggestion. Mine has generic 5-6" ninja figures, and their weapons would work. Also try that Mego-like ninja figure that had an LJN Rookies head, and a Rainfall body. He came with some accessories. I know that's a terrible description, but I'm pretty sure he's on Megolike.com somewhere. I'd check my spare parts box, but most of that stuff is packed away for now. If you still need help, I'll look when I come back from Vegas.

You could notch them for the thumb.

If you REALLY want to go hardcore, check ebay for "mononofu." They were collector's weapons available in Japan; metal blades, amazing detail, Mego scale. I've used dozens of 'em for different customs.

hey, the Dollar General here has the ninja power ranger knock offs for a buck, LMK if you want some.

Here is whats in my armory and where I got it.
Dollar General has 3" ninjas in blue red yellow and black. Thier swords are matching in color. In Mego hands they look more like Katana then long sword. DG also might have some 10" ninja. They ussually include sword and katana. I'd use the katana.
Dollar Tree has 3" Ninja in colors also. But thier weapons are clear jelly type plastic.

I dont have any ninja projects lined up. But when I'm shopping and see scale items for cheap I grab it.
