The ONLY thing I like in that set is the Seahorse. Everything else is too Manhatten Fashion Model for my tastes. If you're getting it as an investment for down the road, I'm sure cross collecting genres will help drive the price on them. Not to mention their limited nature.

The seller has the "Storm" seahorse only in another auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/Tonner-2007-Convention-DC-Stars-Storm_W0QQitemZ140146641838QQihZ004QQcategoryZ1169 8QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

If the price of this set stays lower than the "Storm" BIN, it's probably a good deal to get all three.

But, I say just nab the seahorse in another auction down the road and stick a vintage Captain Action Aquaman next to him. That'd be much cooler than Fashionista Aquaman and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Mera.

The Mera looks okay, but Aquaman looks like a mannequin. My wife got the Tonner Wonder Woman. The quality is nice, but it's not as good as the 13" DC Direct figures. Just compare their Aquamen.

The costume detail on the Tonner Wonder Woman was pretty similar to the first issue collector Barbie WW of a few years back. For over $100 a pop, they could do better, esp. at 18".
The seahorse is nice though.

Those things are terrible. The seahorse is kind of cool, but you could probably get one made up by a skilled customizer for that much money.

If you are worried about it as an investment, I seriously doubt they'll hold their value. Look at what the first Tonner Superman and Lois Lane from a few years ago sell for... I've seen them listed on eBay a few times and they rarely if ever sell at issue price.

Wow, I had not even heard of these figures before. Aquaman looks kinda crappy, but Mera doesn't look too bad. The sea horse is pretty cool though.

Ugh! No!.... unless you need to have everything that was ever made of Aquaman. The Dc Direct 13 figure Is so much better.

Sure Aquaman looks like ken on a bad hair day but I don't agree with the consesus here on mera. Unless you have a ton o money top drop on a super queen this is pretty cool. The sea horse is nice - right outta the filmation version.

Ouch - I just saw the winning bid.

This would be a nice set at 39.99. - Pass

I think the Mera doll is awesome! Aquaman I think is nice, to me he looks like a young Aquaman. The horse is cool too.

The only Tonner doll I didn't really like was the Wonder Woman doll. She's my favorite character though so since I didn't like her doll, I won't be collecting the series but Mera she could almost make me want them!

The Mera looks great but after seeing one of Brian Leitner's rerooted red haired Supergirl heads on his Phoenix custom at Mego Meet, I would bet he can do a better custom in actual Mego 8" scale for a lot less and it would be a 1 of a kind. Until he made another. I think Dave Mc got the Phoenix from Brian in WV. I regretted not buying it then cuz it was an awesome lookin piece at a great price. I bid on one he posted on ebay a couple of months ago and got way out bid. Ya snooze ya lose, can't get all the deals.
