Someone got a Mego sized Horta from Ebay (was that you, wyldpny?) and got me to make a box for him (oops, I mean her).

Here's the top and the front of what will be a window box so far.

Why did they make the Horta look like a giant Pan Pizza?

Still it's a great box. You put a lot of effort into it, I can tell.

Nice clear images, bright colors and all that neat stuff.

I saw that one. I am not sure if that's the one gotten by the person I am doing the box for. Like I said, maybe wyldpny has made a Horta.

Hey, I really like the way you did the rock formation. It adds a play dimension to the box. Very nice! :2thumbsup:

Very nice. What other Trek toys did you showcase on the back of the package?

The back is not yet made up but it will mostly use the cameos from the back of the Alien card and maybe a new thing here or there.

Very quality work. I can imagine seeing it on the shelves at Woolco in the 70's, JOHN

Great design. I too like how the rocks make the window. I also like that Kirk's phaser is "Mego blue."

Why would you use a Horta with POTA or WGSH?

Terrific work, Mike.

I'm surprised that no-one at the museum offers a resin custom of the Horta for general purchase. I remember seeing seeing one tricked out with fur fringe and made to fit over a toy car. Cool!

Mego was putting that sticker on a bunch of its playsets & figures like the lost continent and Enterprise

Sorry, that wasn't me who made the one you are making the box for since I just finished making my first Horta only yesterday.
PM'd you about the box...

It's a good idea but it's a latter Mego box, made to look like the stuff they did in 1975 or 76 and they were only doing that sort of thing in 1973-4

Exactly.
Architects rarely get b*tch*ng action figures....
