Dowel rod and craft foam. That way he won't break it when shelf diving. Just draw a pattern on paper, cut it out tape it to the craft foam and cut it out. Super glue the pieces to the right length dowel, I used 3/16" size. Painted it with gold spray paint.

What about the one from the DC Direct Alex Ross Justice line....too small?
