Why had i been logged out?

Ever since i joined this site i've had the log in page set to remember my details so that i don't have to keep typing in passwords but today all that had gone and i had to ask for a new password so i could log in, as i couldn't remember the old one.

Any idea what caused this to happen?

A lot of things can cause this. If you cleaned temp files or cookies from your system, that info would be gone. A Museum update could log you out. A lot of things could have happened.
