He was probably concerned that you'd back out of the deal seeing how cheap it went for, so he paid immediately

That's most probably why but a deal's a deal. I was even offered the original BIN if I ended the auction early, which was tempting but I just hate it when people do that to me.

It's a really slow time on Ebay right now. Bad time to be a seller. It should pick up about a month from now once the little ones are back in school and vacations are done.
