I'm working on a new series of Blogs entitled, appropriately enough: World's Greatest Toys!

I'll be doing individual blogs with photo sets and/or reviews of various toys and action figures that (I believe) absolutely rock. There will be a mixture of vintage and modern toys.

First up: The World's Greatest Toys… Are French?! (http://www.worldsgreatesttoys.com/wgtBlog/)

Those are terrific! Love the fact that the figures are of varying heights. Heck, even the "Magic Box" is cool!

Now, about that Royale with Cheese...

They are pretty amazing. And they're freakin' heavy, too! The three larger figures feel like bricks, which is surprisingly satisfying.

Yeah, I don't know what to make of the Rosti either… with or without cheese. Based on the photograph, I'm guessing "Rosti" is French slang for "Nasty." :terror:

Wow, the varying height thing is really, really cool. I can imagine myself as a kid carting these around while my parents forced me to look at one more Paul Cezanne painting. (((I've actually eaten at the Quick in Aix en Provence. I had no idea of its significance)))

As you could read Quick has Belgian roots, so yes, they have Quicks here in Belgium too (there"s one right next door to me in fact). And yes, they're kinda like McDonald's, food is just the same (as good or as bad, as you wish).
Belgian Quicks had these toys as well, they're pretty cool. You can find 'em at almost any flea market here for close to nothing. I sent an entire set to Buk some time ago. I even offered a second set (or close to complete) in the marketplace and I think (not sure tho) Anthony took that one. And yes, they are quite hard and heavy

and the BEST part is they are 8 inch or taller figures!
(musta been HUGE happy meal boxes ) :smiley1:

Actually, the "Magic Box" for the DC Heroes is only 7 inches in length. There's a photo of it on my blog. It is MUCH too small to hold any of the three larger figures in the set (Batman, Superman and Flash). I presume the toy was handed out separately from the box. It must have been...
