Anyone pick this up? I usually don't read Wolverine anymore but this cover was a cool homage to a classic EC horror cover that I just had to buy it. Plus, my comic store had them bagged with a piece of white paper covering the "offending" portion of the artwork which made me even more curious.
As for the story itself I couldn't care less and the interior artwork didn't appeal to my taste either.

I don't think anyone truly believes Sabretooth is dead nor is this any kind of True Origin of the conflict between Sabretooth and Wolverine. We've gone through this "Everything you believe is FALSE!" scenario way too many times with Wolverine. I think introducing that race of feral creatures was pretty dumb.

^ Especially the "black hair vs. the yellow hair" part. :juggleyes_y:

So does Wolvie actually behead Sabretooth?

If so, about time. I mean the guy kills every other bad guy, why not him?

Yup. Actually chops him to pieces with a sword designed to prevent the healing factor from working (we've seen Wolverin grow back from bits and pieces).

Sabretooth is pretty much accepted as Wolverine's Arch-Enemy and seen in media tie-ins like the X-Men Movie and Animated series. So long as they can sell comics, Action Figures and merchandise, he'll be back eventually.

Guys like Jester and Turner D Century stay dead. Doctor Doom, Green Goblin, Magneto, and Sabretooth will come back.

I actually liked the Origins version of the Sabretooth/Wolverine relationship best which suggested that they are half-brothers. It only makes sense. Not that this appearance really undoes this, just creates an odd suggestion of reincarnation or Vandal Savage/Jason Blood/Highlander style immortality to their struggle depending on how you look at it.

Thanks for the info. Not a big Wolverine reader, but I always wondered why Logan didnt just finish him off when he's been known to kill far less threatening baddies.

>Guys like Jester and Turner D Century stay dead.

...until someone brings 'em back in a seventy part super-mega series; with painted covers and six action figure series'....

>I actually liked the Origins version of the Sabretooth/Wolverine relationship best which suggested that they are half-brothers.

....er.... that's new. Last I read; wasn't Sabretooth supposed to be Wolverine's dad?
