    FIsher Price Toy Love

It's not often I give myself flashbacks but that's what happened with this 1977 Fisher Price Toy Catalog., Starting with crib toys and moving to the point where you traded in your little people for adventure people, you might find something you had on every page.

Wow, I had totally forgotten about the activity center. Seeing it there made me think "How could I forget that!" It fascinated me well past the time it should have. I think I still had it laying around my toys at 4 years old at least.

In the picture above, I know I had the rolling smiley phone (later used it as the Bat-phone), and the Little People school house.

I think we had most of the toys in that catalogue. My favourite was that Little People Circus Train, that was very cool. My favourite one that I never had was the Little People Castle (not pictured in that catalogue, I don't think it was available for as long as the other stuff was), complete with Knights and a dragon. A remember visiting someones house (parents' friends), and the kids there had one, it was so cool, I think I played with it the whole time we were there.

          Adventure People

Hi guys, Im new here to the forum. Like all of you, I was a 70's kid, and proud of it till this day. No better time to grow up. Anyway, I loved the FP Adventure People series. I had the Motorcross set, the kayak set, the Deep Sea diver, the Wilderness set, the Indy race car, the parachute, the scuba divers, the set with the sub, octopus, and helicoptor, the construction workers(which were the earliest ones). Loved them all....

My parents never bought a single Fisher Price toy.

My kids have gone through a few, though.

The only FP toys I had was the roly poly merry-go-round, and the wind-up toy radio that played Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I had friends who had some of the other toys, like the phone, the clock, and the desk, but not the little people. I guess these weren't too popular w/ black kids from Harlem.

Don't get me started. Little People have taken over my life! They're like everywhere man! Just looking at me with those smug little faces! If I didn't know better, I'd swear they were reproducing! But they kind of make me feel like Gulliver

I had forgotten all about the schoolhouse and the garage. Those were cool.

I remember playing with these things even after I felt I was "too old" for them. They were just too much fun. The garage and airport were big favs.

You know looking through this, I realize that Fisher Price had an absolute GIGANTIC impact on my youth. From kids toys like the Music boxes to the Little People to the Rescue People. Wow, what a toy company!

BTW, anyone know of a good Little People websites. One where I can check to see what each playset came with.

This has a ton of info, but VERY hard to navigate.

Besides the Adventure People, I remember asking Santa for the Sesame Street Clubhouse at Christmas time in '77 or so. I did get it and loved it. Now, I look for/at them on ebay sometimes. It's great to see one.

Yeah, what great toys they've made, Brian and this set is excellent. Many of FP's toys will likely still be around and able to be played with in another 50 years or longer.
