Freebee hellboy contest!!!

I have a hellboy card signed by the creator of Hellboy, Mike Mignola that will go to the lucky winner. The card is an official hellboy card that was insertrd into boxes of hellboy cards. Contest ends Thursday at 6 p.m. central time.

Here is what you need to do to enter. You need to post your favorite all-time sci-fi character and why you like them. On Thursday I will put all of the names in a hat and draw a winner. Good luck to all!:cool_y:

Well, its Hellboy. The comic bundles up everything that was fun in Jack Kirby comics, old Hammer movies and Lovecraft stories and throws in a Right Hand of Doom for fun. One of the better movie adaptations, too.

For me it's Captain Kirk because watching him as I grew up, his character showed me there is always a way to succeed (or win if you will)if your steadfast and creative :wink_y:

Spock...It is the only Logical choice.
He was the best friend,confidant,conscience and the most human part of the show.
He was strong yet gentle.He was also emotionless which truly helped when I became a paramedic because there are times when you must remove emotion and deal with what is going on around you.
He also lived like a hundred and fifty years longer than Kirk so who really could anybody ever pick.

Godzilla. From an early age the big green radiated monster stuck with me. I now own a ton of Godzilla stuff have seen every movie more times than I can count and spent a good portion of my childhood pretending to be him.

Godzilla has all the best elements of Sci-fi too. He's true sci-fi, not just a space character. He was created by science, as the song goes, history shows again and again how nature points out the folly of man.

Plus what other dinosaur monsters traveled through space, time, did dropkicks and were featured in ad campaigns to get people to be a good dad?

Gotta go with Darth Vader also. Not only was he a giant half machine bad guy, who cut off his own son's hand. He also is the biggest hero out of the Star Wars world.

Gotta disagree. Yoda was far cooler and badass than DV. Vader had all the shiny metal, the size, and the scary mask. Yoda wore a burlap bag and carried a stick. Yet nobody wanted to screw with him. He was 2 feet tall, it's not like he was intimidating by sight. You just knew not to do it. Watch the light saber battle with Dooku. He limps in with a cane until it's time to fight. Then he goes psycho ninja muppet in a flash. Bouncing off walls and ceilings. Even when he grabs his saber he doesn't reach for it, he just puts out his hand and it flies from his belt. Everything he did reeked of coolness. He was never the aggressor, always cool in the heat of battle. Of all the Jedi that died he was the only one I know of that died from natural causes. And he had a lifespan far longer than all the others. You just couldn't kill Yoda. He was too cool to die at the hands of any other being, than time itself.
