Ho do I remove screenprinting from clothes

I've got a sweatshirt I want to sue for a custom and it has some screenprinting on the front. Need to get it off there as I don't want the character doing endorsements.

This is to extreme but as a kid I workrd as a silkscreener and they have this gun that shoots a thin and very powerfull stream of cleaner that removes ink and does not damage the material.

Maybe a local shop would clean that one piece for a few bucks.....

    Like I said extreme!

I used to remove iron-on decals using sticky mailing tape.

Just cover the thing with tape and rip it off.

You usually have to do it a few times.

Not sure if it would work with silk screening though

The only gun I've used like that only worked on uncured ink, but I only really know about the equipment I work with.

Well apparently the sweatshirt has a custom he wants so he's going to sue to get custody of it.

It works a lot better on uncured ink (I am pretty sure we are talking about the same piece of eqipment) but still works on a regular printed garment....

If he put a balled up rag on the other side of the printed area and streched the item he wants the image removed from the gun would zap it right out, I did it plenty of times

Yeah, that's the one I used. Cool - I didn't know that would work on cured ink!

It would be crazy to take off a full shirt design with that gun, but for a small piece like TBolt was talking about, it would work well...

Tired typing is safer than drunk typing. Since I can't use the shirt unless I get the stuff off, I am trying a soak in acetone.
