me too. Being new to the MEGO retail area I don't want to order from anyone. I don't understand how you can sell something that you don't have in hand. Seems like they are taking the money way before they actually have the products.
I have gone back and read many of the threads.It seems they are taking the money and giving countless excuses. I assume that they know the system well enough that they are getting away with it too often . I know I'm not ordering from castaway, mego store and a few others for sure now after all this.

Never again. I have now escalated my claim to a dispute. Not holding my breathe for the return of money.

Absolutley disgusting. They know that people are conacting them and asking about updates but they just ignore them.

Yeah definitely in the same boat. I'm terrified to order from a few of these places (despite really wanting some of the products) because I keep reading these horror stories. It does seem like most people get their stuff at the end of the day, but I'm used to ordering from places and getting good service.

It seems like most here are just like "that's just the way it is" and deal with it, but I'm not sure I'm ready to commit to that mentality just yet, lol.

Hopefully this stuff gets resolved and these top Mego-like retailers get the word out, because I have to think it's hurting potential business.

In my case, I´m waiting for two orders: one is from December 4th, order 717 (partly received).
Second one is from April 27th, order 986.
Never an answer to my asking e-mails, and I´m really tired and angry about all of this.
Is there someone waiting for an order so old than mine?

I wish these guys would get their act together. For such a new company, they have already earned a really bad reputation for terrible customer service. They put out a great product, but what good is that if they don't deliver merchandise in a timely manner. It took me months and months and months and months of e-mails, PMs, and posts before I finally received my order. I want to place more orders, but I'm afraid to. It just isn't worth the hassle.

well its been 3 days since i posted and not one single email. you cant tell me they dont come on here daily ( just thinking of the response now , "FYI WE DONT COME ON EVERYDAY SO CANT REPLY TO YOUR POSTING" ) no but your fast enough to place new posts on this forum when you have something new to sell or your stock levels are up and you need to shift it.

To be fair, didn't their last post say something about the basement being flooded and not having net access? They probably should have temporarily closed their e-store though if they couldn't get access to the orders.

But that may be why you haven't gotten a response.

Dave and I are currently working to get everything on track. I don't want to give you a bunch of excuses why we're behind, so I won't. We've been behind before and in an effort to stay up with all the orders we tried some new ways to get orders out. Some worked and some didn't. We are now splitting our inventory and will begin shipping from 2 locations ASAP. The problem we have is keeping up with all the parts orders, so we are now seperating them from our pre-order figure orders. You will no longer be able to order pre-order figures and parts on the same order. It's been double shipping for us on the pre-orders. We ship your parts and when the figures come in we go back and ship the figures. We've contracted an outside source to ship our figure pre-orders. In the next couple of weeks we will be shipping the parts from 2 loacations. If we still can't get all the parts orders out we'll look at having minimum order quantities, selling our parts thru someone else or stop selling parts. We don't want to be in the buisness of upsetting anybody or ourselves for that matter. I've been coming to this board since 1996 and I think Dave's been here just as long and I can say we've never stolen anyones money, you don't have to worry about that. I'll be personally sending everyone who posted who is waiting on an order in the next couple of days to give you an update. Thanks

Jason has already made contact with me and I have confidence that my order will be filled very soon.

Please do not stop making your stuff guys. In the last three months I have added 4 Phantoms, 2 Dr. Evils, and 2 Captain Actions to my collection. My hunt has been daily for your figures from the past. The lines that you create are outstanding and the prices are fantastic.

As long as I know you are on it and trying to work through the process I can be a patient man.

That is all people want. contact them and tell them whats going on. I have never seen anyone on here in the short time ive been on the forum saying you have stolen their money.

OK folks. I too waited way past the time Cast-a-way said that the shipping started for the early bird Phantom. Like all of you, I also sent many pm's and was not answered back to. Accept on one day I did finally get a response back. I was told that my order was sent and I was given the day it was sent on. I did not receive it until 2 weeks later. I checked the shipping date on the box. The date was a week after I was told it was shipped. What's up with that! Now, a few months go by and I receive a package from Cast-a-way. It is another of phantom extra from the early bird order. I figured they sent it to me maybe out of appreciation. I only bought one item though. Now it has been some time now since I received my early bird Phantom. Three days ago I received another package from Cast-a-way. I did not order anything from them. Espcially after reading everyone elses bad stories about their orders. I opened the box, and there was "another" Phantom with the early bird extra as well as a Phantom IN COGNITO disguise. I could not believe it. I believe that this just goes to show how unorganized things are with Cast-a-way. A friend of mine ordered the early bird Phantom about a week after me. He still has not received his order and has sent many pm's like all of you. I gave the Phantom and extras to my friend yesterday. I wonder what else will show up at my house from Cast-a-way? That is very possible, but I received my order quite some time ago. I dought they were making up to me. I only ordered the early bird Phahtom, not a bunch of other items from them. There are plenty of other people who have ordered from them that deserved the extra Phantom, not me. Why did they send you the extra Captain Action???? :grin:

It is very possitive for you to say that, it's just that people have been saying that for a long time now. Since you're new to the forum, take a look at the older threads. You'll see what myself and so many others are talking about. There's way more to this than you know!:yeah:

Oh yah, I highly dought that they would send out another figure for free when they owe so many other people their orders. With yourself and me, I have to believe we got a extra figure from them because of their unorganization not out of sorrow.

yea, i too do not see so much "free" stuff being sent out. If someone is receiving kits and complete figures....hmmmm, mama always said if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

If it were me, I'd post here what I got that I did not pay for, which I applaud has aready been done.

Then, if it is discovered it was error, send em back (on their dime) or at least give Dave the opportunity to say "keep em, we screwed up". It wouldn't be completely unheard of for someone who got free stuff to send it on to the next person and cope with the $4 shipping cost (we all have each others back).

We've all bit off more than we can chew at some point in our lives. Is that the case here....I can't say. But I did meet Dave at MegoMeet and there were no alarms going off for me. If Dave has went thru the financial burden as Doc Mego ($80,000 of HIS own money to launch Trek figs), then....could I spend that much of my personal income to satisfy a bunch of toy collectors? Umm nope. My Wife would kill me.

Then again, lack of communication isn't good either. Dave did pop in the other day to mention he had a flooded basement...add that stress to an already stressful day. Jason popped in to say they were stepping up the shipping process and work this stuff out.

Dave and Jason will come thru just fine...might take a while until they get the groove of things going.

Just be patient. :wink_y:

We have some of the orders out. Everyone who's posted in this thread has their order on 1 list now. We're getting everything packed and out the door. I'll send confirmations as soon as I have them. After Dave's computer fried in the flood, we lost alot of our data. Trying to figure out who's waiting on what has been a huge undertaking. What sucks is we don't know about some of the orders unless people put a post up.Thanks for the patience.

That makes sense. If computers lose the data, there isn't much they can do other than check back with bank records and such. That's probably why they were taking those special orders through email only.

I was hoping that numerous emails, pms, even a Paypal claim would elicit some sort of response from you, but it has not. I'd like to know where my order is (order # yhst-12736645079161-1156). I ordered the following: 1 Fedora, 1 Handsome Henry head, 1 Ray gun. With shipping the total was $18.66.

I hate to make this problem public, but there has been absolutely NO direct communication from you regarding my order. For all I know, I've been scammed! You've repeatedly told your patrons in MM posts to be patient and that you're trying to improve. My question is - when are you going to start? I'd like my order, but if I don't hear from you soon, I will have to escalate the Paypal claim to a dispute.

Pardon me Dave, just taking any opportunity to get in your face. I have the same issue as above (EB costume received, but not Phantom figure). See this thread (http://megomuseum.com/community/showthread.php?t=32614).
