I apologize if this has been discussed here before, but I'm new. If I understand this news article correctly.....

The Final Fate Of SUPERMAN: Lawsuit Settled In Favor Of Creators Heirs s A Thrall World (http://dietrichthrall.wordpress.com/2009/08/14/the-final-fate-of-superman-lawsuit-settled-in-favor-of-creators-heirs-dc-and-warner-brothers-will-lose-all-rights-in-2013/)

it seems to be saying that as of 2013, the family of Superman's creator can do what they want with the character, with a few exceptions (DC apparently owns Lex Luthor, Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, kryptonite and Superman's ability to fly). Does this mean that they could, if they want, offer to let Marvel Comics bring Superman, sans his flying ability, into the Marvel Universe? What do you think will happen to The Man of Steel?

I'm sure everything will be worked out eventually to everyone's satisfaction....there's too much money at stake for DC to let Supes slip through their fingers.....

The Superman Books are a Mess right now...
I don't understand, what is Continuty,.. & Where Everyone Is Suppost to be right now....

I picked up the New issue of SuperGirl,..
The Book Before, Supergirl went back to New Krypton,.. & Chose Her Guild,.. & Superman was still on New Kryton,.. Acting as Security...

Then with this New Supergirl Book,.. I guess they are Locked in YET ANOTHER Multi-SuperMan book(s) Crossover..

Superman Is Back On Earth,.. Teaming with Guardian, SuperGirl & that Mon-el Dude,.. trying to figure out something, then something happened to Zod,.. Which is all confusing,.. because I didn't buy any of the other books...

Then In Blackest Night Superman,.. Superman & Conner are hanging out on Earth,.. & fighting Earth 2 Black Lantern Superman,.. While Supergirl is on New Krypton,.. & Her Daddy Just became a Black Lantern,..

Then In Adventure Comics #1 Conner just returned to Smallville,.. & Had a Run-in with Superman ...

Then SuperGirl Appears in the Last 2 Panel's of Cry For Justice # 2 ,.. Where Hal, Ollie, Atom & Freddy Shazam! Meet up in Gotham...

Ohh,.. & Then Superman is with the Justice League in Flash ReBirth # 3,.. Which I understand, if it was not for the Delay's Should Have closed before Blackest Night,.. But would not have Closed ,.. Yet,.. with the Superman "Off World" New Krypton Crap.

I don't understand whats 1st,.. or whats Where,.. Blackest Night Superman,.. & Adventure Seem to have the Most Continuity with each other,.. the Rest is a Mess. It's confusing. :juggleyes_y:

Obviously the little triangle numbers aren't helping any? :smiley1:

I don't have the problem of navigating Superman's current continuity....mainly becuase I dropped all of the books except for Supergirl. None of this New Krypton crap interests me....Mon-El and Guardian are poor substitues for the Man of Steel. I'd rather see Cyborg Superman, Steel, the Eradicator and Superboy as replacements while he's of-world. :sarky:

No There Not...
1st of All,.. I dunno Where the other "#'s" Are... :googly: ... & DC Could really give us a Flipp'in Check list in the Back of the "AFFECTED" Books,.. rather than some HalfAss Write up on the Aledgid Awesomeness of Dan Didio every Flipp'in Month. :sarky:

Also,.. There are No # Triangle things on
Adventure
Blackest Night Superman
Cry for Justice
& Flash Rebirth ...

So Where the Hell are these at in Continuity with the Current Superman Books ? Am I just suppost to take All this Crap as Individual Stories,.. & Say, Ok,.. well this Happened over here,.. so that was that, & this is This,.. That's All fine & Good in the Hood,.. But then when I see a Quote Saying something Like "See whatever over here for the Full Story" ... To Be Honest,.. that's Where I get lost with Continuity,... & Start to get a Bit Pi$$ed. :muh:

BTW,.. I'd like a "Heads up" Too,.. Whenever some Big Arse Multi-Superman Cross over is going on,.. So I can either Have the Idea in My Mind before I sit down & Read a Book,.. or BoyCot the Whole Flipp'in Story all together, rather than Getting an Issue of It,.. & Sit down to read it, Have No Idea what the Hell is going on,.... & it's Already Part 4,.. What Kinda Crap is that ???

Thats Also Fine & Dandy when We are Talking about, perhaps all the Books that are Suppost to Feature Superman,.. But that Crap Needs to Stop in the Pages of SuperGirl,.. & Should not even be allowed to Start in Adventure Comics.

Supes can go back and forth from new Krypton anytime it is just on the otherside of the sun, and his wife is still on Earth so I expected this.

World of New Krypton has tanked pretty badly in my opinion. From March to July, Superman's monthly book has lost 12.2% of its circulation and Action has lost 18.6%, according to ICv2's figures. July saw circulation on both dip below 40,000 in the direct market.

I dropped Superman awhile back when Ed Benes left(I liked the Scott Mcdaniel run as well). Looks like I'm not missing too much.:please_y:

I'm actually enjoying the New Krypton book and Supergirl, but Superman and Action aren't remotely interesting other than a few tidbits here and there.

It seems Superman readers are in for another year of Superman on New Krypton, but DC is saying at the Cons 2010 is the year of Superman, hopefully that will be Superman on earth.

I'm looking forward to Superman Secret Origins.Obviously, they are resetting to a more of a Silver-age origin mixed with a does of Superman the Movie as has been hinted at for the past 3 years or so.

Hey Black Knight,

JLA Cry for Justice takes place right after Final Crisis, but before Barry Allen returns and just before Superman goes to live on New Krypton.

Flash Rebirth takes place prior to Blackest Night, but after Kid Flash and Superboy were returned to life/current DCU time in Legion of 3 Worlds.

I'm guessing Superman Blackest Night is concurrent with the Blackest Night mini series, with Superman just making one of his visits home from New Krypton.

Supergirl is living on New Krypton, but like Superman going back and forth to Earth when she needs or wants to.

DC needs to have a dallas reboot and pretend everything that happened since COIE was "all a dream"

HAW! I'd go all "St. Elsewhere" and say Legion (from the X-Men) woke up and the entire DC universe was all in his imagination.

I'm sure Time-Warner has deep enough pockets to keep Superman. He's pretty much worth Billions, so if it means profit sharing with the Seigel's, then I'm sure they will pony up.

Unless the Seigel's have a personal axe to grind with Time-Warner/DC Comics... in which case life could get interesting if you had another mulimedia multinational conglomerate with deep enough pockets.

And what about the TM? Does this ruling give them access to the Trademark of Superman or the S-Shield logo? Or will it have to be marketed as "Speeding Bullets Comics starring Superman"? Think of those generic packaged Superman Fleischer cartoons floating around out there. The cartoons themselves are in public domain, but it's DC that owns the TM.

Is the public interested in a Superman who doesn't fly and goes around punching corrupt politicians?

The last I read the judge had ordered the Siegels and Warners to work on a settlement again. Eventually, one will be worked out. I'll be glad when it does. I'd hate to see Superman chopped up and sold off piece by piece.
