If you make it, I'll buy it!"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."Comment

That is Very cool.
Some Stretch String tied to the Head, strung down to a Pin the Can would make the Head Rotate very easy too.
Great Stuff.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

I'm already building out the disc "shoulders" on the can body... So today I decided the easiest route would probably be to design the legs and shoulders with ratchet articulation like a T2 knee, and sculpt in a hook assembly on a stick on each leg so one can be joined to the other inside via a rubber band or elastic, similar to a standard T2. That way they'd be independent, but also hold positions so the "can" may be tilted back and hold that pose. Also, this means I could cast the can section as one piece and abandon the fussy clamshell system I'd already started, which would probably simplify casting.
The only drawback to that is that the head would simply rest in the can assembly now, because with a clamshell I could have put a groove in the interior that the head locked into when the clamshell closed over it (via one screw in the back) which would lock the head in as a permanent joint ... I'm on the fence as to how important that really is. I mean... don't jawas randomly pop the heads of R2 units anyway?Last edited by Tothiro; Aug 25, '09, 1:51 AM.Comment

^^^ Rotation with the Head would be Key with me... I like that feature.
As far as the Joints for his Arms,.. I'd do what was Best. I don't think I remember an Ar-2 Unit ever Moving only 1 arm at Once..., I believe they Both always Moved at the same time.
.. You Know what would be cool ?... Hasbro has made a Slew of Sound Action Ar-2 Units the last few yrs,.. You should steal the Sound Chip for Yours.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
