Aside from Ebay, is there a good source to find values on the internet for Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars.

I was at an estate auction a few weeks ago and picked up a few lots of various cars. None of them are in great condition but I found about 10 Hot Wheels Red Liners...nothing mint but maybe some of rarity.

Also pulled out about 30 matchbox cars that I believe are from the 1950's with a the most recent from early 70's. Again, a lot of them are beat up but maybe some rare ones in there.

Also some assortment of other older style matchbox cars (the name is stamped on the bottom but I'll deal with those later).

I don't have much into it ($15 for all of them) and want to put them up on Ebay. My initial thought was to sell them in lots but I want to find out if I have any rarities first.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think the king is here:
toycarcollector.com

you'll get a good sense of the market from him

If you have photos you can also join the Redlines Online message board and ask for advice there. It's a very active HotWheel (and other diecast) board and they can tell you values pretty accurately, and are very well informed on rare items and variations:

(I think you have to register and apply for membership before being abel to see or post to the board. That's free).

If you want to post a picture of the reds I can give you a quick appraisal and let you know if you have anything rare. Condition is number one though so if they are down in any way they are probably worth $10-$20 each on average.

Having said that you'll now go ahead and post a picture of a pink Superfine Turbine or a Rear Loading Beach Bomb of course :smiley1:

Cheers!
