I just came across this listing and noticed something very interesting about it, the photo is MINE. I took this picture with my camera and sold this item about a week or so ago. However this listing is NOT mine. Has anybody ever dealt with somebody stealing your own photos for their Ebay listings? :stars:

Yeah, I had that happen once before. You can report it to Ebay as it's a violation of policy. Who knows what they are really selling or what they look like?
Send Ebay security links to you original auction & the abusing one ASAP.

you can report the item. there's a link at the bottom of the listing to do so.

The seller is not the person I sold the item to. I have now reported it. Here is my original before I cropped and edited it for my own listing.

Is that your Boxed item? Maybe they just wanted to show what the item would look like without taking it out of the box?
They should clarify that in the listing though!

yep, just do as mentioned... use the report item link and ebay is generally pretty good at getting removed within a day or so

No, the boxed version is not my picture. The thing that is odd to me is that their box has been opened, why not just take a picture of it loose themselves.
How do I know it's been opened? Because the Man in the Boat may look like the the one in my picture but he is not the same. The figure that came with this 1981 set is supposed to have a dark blue hat (like in my pic). The one they have in their boxed set has a pale lighter blue hat and he goes to a different 1972 set. To some that may not seem like a difference but it's like comparing a Mego RC Batman "translucent belt" to the "opaque belt" that came with the Cowled Head Batman.

I also just noticed that they even copied portions of my description. Wow I really should get a percentage if their item sells.

Sweeet..Yep thats the road I am talking about!!..I have logged many, many hours on that sesame street playset...back in the 70s..
that pic is just plain silly cool GH. Do you have a loose display section as well, or only boxed as keepers?

Well the great thing about them is every box is opened and fully accessible, so there's no need to display them loose. I actually had them displayed loose but got tired of all that cleaning and dusting. Plus I can fit more sets on the shelves when they are boxed (you should see the pile that doesn't fit on the shelves).
I am currently in the beginning stages of "trying" to get a website going where every set, piece and over 400 Little People figures will be available for viewing purposes. I'm probably within 95% complete of having every single piece and variation. Pictures of original boxes, Fisher Price catalogs and original advertisements will also be featured. I currently have over 1000 pics and scans ready to go. This is a great passion of mine which I have worked on for several years now, so I want to make the best of it.

Well finally the seller has removed my pics and relisted the item. I reported it to Ebay twice but I don't think they ever did anything about it. I eventually messaged the seller and basically told her that she was rude and had no integrity. I think I got my point across.

I'm glad that you got that resolved. Even though it wasn't with any help from ebay. There seriously slacking in all departments :spin:
