So, I've only shrunken a handful of vinyl heads with the old acetone dip trick. I've lately tried shrinking a Michael Jackon head and a human torch (from the Marvel Universe 10 inch figure) and really haven't had much luck with it.
The Michael Jackson only go so small.
The Human Torch got huge, shrunk down and seemed to only really return to its original size.
I think that the real "shrinking" is done when the acetone evaporates, so that seems to be more important than the length of time spent in the dip.
I've hit a wall. Any suggestions?
(I mean, I do the 9 inch customs, so realistically I could use the "slightly too big" Torch head, but the acetone wrecked the paint job and now I would feel dumb having to repaint a head that is too big)
