I think this was mostly just a crappy paint job.

This is juanimal's Superman head. It's a little on the thin side as far as his jawline and facial features. I sure didn't help matters by adding in the shadowlines and shading. This looks like what if Anthony perkins were cast in the role instead of Chris Reeve. Feel free to laugh. I get a chuckle each time I see it. I certainly can't hit a home run each at-bat. This one was fouled off my crotch.

Believe me, the pics make this look waaaay better than it really appears.

Its the eyes. move the pupil/iris up a bit and you will lose that someone just gave me a wedgie look.

Kinda looks like he was checking Lois out with his x-ray vision and found out Lois really was Louie:grin: Your paint jobs are always killer so to me he don't look that bad at all.

i think maybe just try on this guy, instead of your usual very detailed (very good) lol head paints , just do one skin tone, and let the shadows come from the natural light instead of painting them on. it wont hurt to try it.:wink_y:

It may be some of the painting, but these heads from this head-maker are long and thin. They all look like they've just come from a 40 day fast.

The more I see them painted, the less I like them - especially when put on a body. Superhero heads are and should be robust...not gaunt or sickly looking.

yeah, the skinny look works for guys like Mad Hatter, but not for the Flash or Supes.
