    Looking for parts idea

I am needing some wristbands similar to the ones worn by the Marvel Famous Covers 9" Black Widow. I need 4 of them. I can buy the figures on ebay, but didn't want to spend like $40 for some wristbands. Does anyone have ideas?

    Thanks

I tried to find a pic of the figure, but they don't show the detail of the wristbands. So I went on google. If you look real hard, you can actually see past the obvious, and see the wristbands, lol

Idid something very similar on my scarlet spider. I learned from it to. You can take some i/8 dowels or smaller cut them , paint them and glue them around the wrist. or you can sculpt them on the wrist and make slight lines in between to make the look. This is what I am doing on my next scarlet spider. Or craft foam. That comes out great with a little paint work.

Another thing that will work....Michaels sells little plastic strips..well, beads really, for making necklaces and such. They have some that are about a half inch long (there are longer ones too) and available in a ton of different colors. I was looking at them the other day for capsules on a Batman utility belt, but they would work for wristlets as well.

How about a few old magic marker caps split up the bottom-middle ?

                  Some have that exact shape.

I'm sorry I ... I just still can't see the wristbands. Are you sure they're in the picture? I've looked and looked. </creepy>

She does look a little Wilma Deering there though doesn't she?

Oh and re: the elongated beads... you could probably string them together with the thread snaking back and forth (double figure 8 style, but you'd have to thread each bead twice - once in each direction) and make actual gauntlets without having to glue anything.

You could even cut the tips of toothpicks glue them to the plastic ring used on a gallon of milk (cut to size of course) then paint.

The plastic band that comes on most xerox boxes (anyone who works in an office knows) make great belts and bands.
