Castaway Toys: It is Now your Turn!

    Dave & Jason,

You already saw what Paul Clarke a.k.a Dr. Mego had accomplished! It is now your turn. You are both very talented. There is a huge fan base for Captain Action figures out there... The prototypes you have shared a while ago on the CA removable mask Phantom and Dr. Eville Red Beard figures/costumes are a demonstration of your capabilities and skills. Many of us have skills and are willing to lend a hand even for free so that you can take off... Please consider and keep up the good work! Regards,

    Boy

Captain Action might be a little tricky in some aspects as I imagine that the DC heroes that CA changed into are tied up by the Mattel-Mego announcement. The Marvel heroes (Cap, Spidey and Fury) are still out there though. And I would think Flash Gordon would be a natural, especially since Castaway has a deal with Bif Bang Pow. So that leaves Green Hornet (they already have the fedora and trenchcoat in stock), Steve Canyon (bleech), Buck Rogers (probably tied up by Zica) and the Lone Ranger and Tonto.

At least that's from the original line-up...they can always acquire new licenses that would fit in the CA concept.
Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!

I think alot of people would love to see a Flash Gordon line, lets hope that with the new Mattel-Mego venture, this will inspire more great figures from Castaway.

The Green Hornet and Kato,Battle of the Planets get my vote.

To keep with the King Features theme, since CastAway did such a great job with the Phantom, and has Flash Gordon on deck with Bif Bang Pow, there's always Mandrake and Prince Valiant to do.

Also, CastAWay could approach Image and Dark Horse and take a crack at their characters - Spawn, Witchblade, Grendel, Hellboy, Savage Dragon, etc. And what about figures of the old Warren characters? Vampirella, Uncle Creepy, Cousin Eerie... perfect additions to the Mad Monsters! Actually, based on their previous track record, why not more monsters or new takes on the original Megos? The CastAWay body is PERFECT to do the old "cape-in-front-of-the-face" Dracula move!
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

Thanks! Being mentioned in the same sentence with these guys is real compliment. We are so happy that Paul helped Mattel bring back 8 inch MEGO-like figures of DC characters, it's like a dream come true, and a real moment for fans of 8 inch figures... I mean Mattel? wow! this makes it real, and we are thankful for that! We have always thought that this scale and format could be popular again and here we are! We are not on the same scale as Mattel, but that doesn't mean we can't keep on doing what we started. We have the best quality 8 inch figure out there (for now), and we plan to keep moving forward. We have some neat things planned and we are working very hard to get our distribution solid and internal processes improved.

We are not resting on our laurels for sure, we'll have more announcments real soon. But for now let's just be 7 again and revel in the dreams of a 8 inch Superman and Green Lantern! afterall this is what it's all about...

More announcements Soon??? How Soon!!! (we're NEVER satisfied around here!! After all, it's been so quiet around here... LOL! )

I echo the others comments that I hope you can continue the "wave" of Captain Action "characters" (expanding him into new territory!) but also hope and wish Castaways the best for other new licenses!!!

Any chance you guys will be contacting Hasbro about some figures for their properties? That would totally rule!
