So how long before we're going to see the artwork for the Buck Rogers 8" line??
Did you guys decide to go with photos of the characters or line drawing art?
Impatient minds want to know!!

I'm kind of hoping they use the movie poster art like Mego did. That poster was almost as phenomenal as Erin Greys...err... anatomy!

I agree about the movie poster artwork, it's hard to come up with a more iconic image from the tv series than that.

The style of art used on the packaging will be very similar to what was used on the movie poster. The new logo is already finished but the character art is far from complete.

I'm actually so sick of that poster as that was the only thing they used for packages on Buck Rogers merchandise in 79-80.
If I had my choice of art ... it would be the movie poster using the TV style fonts

Sounds great! If your doing a figure from the movie, it only makes sense to tip your hat to the movie poster. I fully support it.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to these!!!
Everything is still moving along with the Buck Rogers line, just very slowly at this point. Reason being is because of revisions that are being made to the new body, and all of the head sculpts for the Buck Rogers figures are being redone. The bodies are still on schedule for a December release but the Buck Rogers line probably won't be ready until around March or April.

It is better to wait a couple of months and have a perfect product. In any casy I am anxiously looking forward to the arrival of the bodies by the end of this year.
I would also like to thank Craig for his help with the answers to the questions that I sent him.

Will the redone head sculpts be dramatically different from what you originally posted? I thought those were very good.

The current Buck and Kane sculpts are completely new, Tigerman has minor changes, The Draconian guard has fairly significant changes, and I haven't seen the new Hawk sculpt yet.

I probably won't reveal anything until the prototypes are ready and at this point I can't even guess as to when that will be. Reason being is because I've found out that just when you think everything seems to be going according to plan something unexpected happens. It's taking much longer than I originally anticipated to get these bodies and Buck Rogers figures to market but I think the improvements will be worth it.

Oh heck yeah! Hawk was the main reason I used to tune in to the second season. I just LOVED Thom Christopher's voice!
I always thought it was unfair that an avian descended race lost their ability to fly, so when I get my greedy paws on one, I'm going to get him a pair of wings, and attach them!
BTW, who here has really GOOD wings? I know that there used to be a customizer on this board that had them in his store, but the store closed down some time ago, and I can't remember what it was called!

Bummer about the delay, but if it means better Buck figures then that was the right call. Can't wait to see the finished prototypes.
Zica bodies in Dec, sounds good to me!
