Best / Worst "parts" to make a custom

I Thought for my first post (Long time MEGO fan and long time lurker) I'd throw out a custom related question.

I'm thinking about throwing together a custom figure or two using 'off-the-shelf' Mego repro/Mego type parts from the bodies,to the heads, and outfits, accessories,et.

So the question is - who has the BEST parts and who has the WORST parts? I wanted to get some feedback before I go ahead.

Worst bodies goes to CTVT, but they do have the best service and the price is right. The bodies are just poorly strung and do end up with a lot of ankle and wrist cracks.

Best bodies goes to Castaway or Doc Mego. Doc has great service and communicates well. Castaway not so much in the customer service dept.

Agreed, Everyone layed it out for you nicely above. Although I've had no problems to date with Castaway or Doc Mego. In my opinion both are top notch.

I agree with the above. CTVT bodies are made of crap, but the heads are very nice.

DocMego has really great service, the bodies are well put together, and aren't strung too loosely or too tightly.

Castaway, it must be admitted takes a bit of a while when it comes to delivering stuff.

Well, that about sums it up, doesn't it? 'Nuff said.

I know you'll enjoy any attempt at customizing or kitbashing... but be careful, it's more addictive than potato chips...

And welcome to the wonderful world of posting too!!

At least you don't gain weight from customizing.
