    The Phantom's Boots!

I purchased the Phantom accessories recently. I tried "really hard" to get the boots onto Cast-a-way body that I have. I failed to get them on. It was quite difficult. Am I doing something wrong? Do any of you have a suggestion on how to make it easier to get them on?

Is your Figure wearing a Cloth Bodysuit? If you don't care about being able to undress him...here's what I do. I cut the the Feet out of the Suit, and tape the Suit just above the Ankles. Bare Feet makes all soft Rubber Boots go on a MUCH easier.

Heat... this works the best for us. Heat them up in hot water (hot as you can stand it, they can take a boil if you can). Pull them out shake the excess water out. I usually roll them around between my hands. Next I point the foot straight down a drape the suit leg just over the toes, grasping the back/top of the boot and push until the toes bottom out. Then I grab the heel and pull staight back... works like champ every time. Then just gently pull the suit leg back up. I have done it hundreds of times. The key is softness...

Is it tough to do? Yea it's kinda hard, but the results are hard to beat... Heroic looking boots? or galoshes...

My Phantom's heels were bulging out of the back of his boots as well, so it took me some effort to wriggle them into place properly. The heat method didn't occur to me, but I did consider cutting the body suit's feet out and making stirrups for them.

What ever you do, DON'T microwave them for even 10 seconds, with or without water in them. I tried that on a pair and it wasn't pretty.

Dave's boilling idea worked for me, however you need to wear gloves like dish gloves. The boots retain heat very very well. You can burn yourself. Trust me!!

You can also use baby powder, and another way to heat them is to very carefully use a hairdryer.

Baby powder could be a good idea!
