I just recived a nice type1 Aquaman but the body is the plactic jointed version which i have only seen on action jacksons, so i'm asking the experts here if that body was used on other lines? it's a loose figure so i think the body is a replacement

I don't know for sure if it is a replacement body or not,but it is quite possible that Mego had some plastic joint bodies left over and used those.

In a thread from long ago, I remember someone confirming the original four wgsh came on the plastic jointed body as well as the t1. I believe it was TomL.

I have run across about 3 or 4 plastic-jointed Supermen of the years, two were stirrup suited as well. Although a body swap is possible, having seen multiple I would feel confortable saying that they had to release some on plastic bodies.

Mego was too cheap to toss old plastic joint bodies. I am sure they cranked out some of Series 1 WGSH on the left-overs from the first AJ release.

seeing another plastic jointed aquaman on e-bay and hearing about three differnt superman figures with plastic joints makes me think mine is the actual body and not a swap job but the world will probaly never know, i've placed a few photos of the figure in question in the gallery section just go to spockfan74 files, i just loaded them so they maynot appear yet

Spockfan74,

I tried to look up your pictures, but could not find them.

The original four characters did come on plastic jointed T1 bodies. I have seen some figures in solid boxes with plastic joints. These would have been the very first WGSH's produced in solid boxes still using the Action Jackson plastic pin T1 style body.

It is also possible that some quantity of plastic T1 jointed bodies were found at a later date once AJ was long gone. There would be no reason for Mego to throw these bodies away and most likely used whatever they had left on the Superheroes. It will never be known for sure if and when that would have happened making the timing impossible to pinpoint (and if it was only limited to the first four characters).

Everyone go disrobe you T1 boxed heroes!!! Someone has to have one!!

I like the T0 bodies over the t1 by far.

I actually bought this auction though it hasn't arrived yet. I noticed it was on a T0 AJ style body but after reading this I'm happier I bought it. I figured it was a body swap and not original on the T0. I'm hoping the feet are OK and the suit will cleanup, but it wasn't too expensive and the Kirk suit looks to be pretty clean and with an original foil insignia. Find out when it arrives. CG

Which of the plastic joint Type 1 is it? I didn't know until I got my Action Jacksons that there are two different joints.
