Great Casting choice! I think Tom Jane could have done it, but Josh Brolin will do a much better job.
Now imagine a sequel based on Hex where he pretends he's Mad Max.

Looks perfect? He looks like a sneering soft guy with a case of acne. I'm not saying that he won't do a good job, but they really cheaped-out on the look. He's supposed to be hideously disfigured on the right side of his face, to the point that people look away. He looks more like a dirty bum.

I think he looks like Hex by someone like Garcia Lopez, who tended to make him look a little more handsome, despite the scarring. It works for me.
If they went too extreme, it would scare mainstream audiences off, and you'd hear more obvious comparisons to Two-Face in DK.

I'm okay with the make up as well.I had hoped for a whited out right eye but this still looks cool.
These are also just some random shots so who knows what exactly is going on maybe he is getting more make-up,maybe it's make-up for a distance shot.Who knows still looks groovy to me.
I hate the pic from the new #1 comic,it is way over exaggerated.
I am also a garcia fan.

It's probably the same reason why Judge Dredd took off his helmet in the movie: you spend that much for an actor you want to show him off....

I do have one complaint...look at his pistols. Colt Peacemakers didnt exist yet....Should be packing civil war era Colts, or even remingtons....but not Peacemakers. Other than that...I'm good!

Depends what year it's supposed to be I guess, but yes I would really, really like to see a pair of 1851 colt arms.Remember he wore the greys his whole life not just in the war.He was just a kid during the war so this could be easily 25 years later.
If I really wanted to be picky I'd dis the double holster rig,the white shirt, and grey pants as well but I'm just jacked this film is getting made.

Agreed! Right now he's too "purty" lookin' to be Hex....they need to do something about that right eye.

I know that they're trying to make the film more mainstream, and I understand. For me though it takes the bite out of the character. Hex isn't just some Old West badass; he's a mean, ugly SOB. If I want Clint Eastwood, there's already a sweet body of work.

Maybe they'll do some CGI to his face as well. Obviously, they had to do some of that with Two-Face in DK.

Ah - I didn't even think of that. If they just do something with the eye it will go a long way IMO.
