I believe the new release date is August 25th. Apparently they did not want to have as much game competion when it comes out.

I checked the PlayStation Store and there was no game demo out yet.

They have a playable PS3 demo in the TRU near me. Actually they have had the demo for almost a month. It is pretty cool very easy to control. It's batman taking on a few rounds of thugs in a room.

I splurged and reserved the edition that comes with the batarang prop. Every one needs a batarang in their media room:grin:

I just read that Kevin Conroy, Mark Hammil and Arleen Sorkin are voicing their characters again in this game. So it can't suck in that regard!

I'm hating this trend of game companys releasing games before they have all the bugs worked out... their intention is to release patches to "fix" these problems after the consumer has already made the purchase. That burns me up.

On the PS3 if you have a internet connection, the games will go out and get the patch for free. My Socom game has to patch itself everytime I want to play it.

Still, If you shell out the bucks for a game, shouldn't it be a finished game?

I know that bugs can sometimes creep in, but that's what the testing phase is supposed to be for. I think they rush these games through sometimes, finished or not.

I KNEW IT!!! I played the Xbox Demo...it was quite FUN! This might be the first time they got a BATMAN Game RIGHT! Or any Superhero Game for that matter.:yes:

on the spike channel, last night they showed a special on it...it was pretty cool looking...they talked about how the game was made and why it was so much better then any other bats game....i'd like to get it, if its for the ps2...but i doubt it..lol...

Man, it sucks that it's not on Wii. I'm only a casual gamer, I'm not going to chunk down $300+ for another system. It looks great. I remember getting that god-awful Batman: Dark Tomorrow game for GameCube. There was a reason it was $10 everywhere 2 months after release!

I have this game for the XBox360, and let me tell you as an avid gamer....I give it a perfect 10. Eidos has hit a "GrandSlam" with this Game. My kids and i feel that it also simulates a great Batman movie/story, making it equivalent to a Batman movie for the summer of 2009. :yes: :smiley1: :yes:

If you've ever hoped for a game that would give you the chance to vicariously live as Batman... this is it. When you flik back and forth in "Detective mode", it's pretty cool. It's a neat way to implement the detective/sleuthing aspect of Batman with the action side of things.

I highly reccommend this game.

A game has to be pretty special for me to buy it but I got this on Friday for PS3 and, so far, it live's up to all of the hype.

I'm playing it on the X-Box. I've been gone for the past few days so I'm anxious to get back to it.

They seem to have done a good job balancing the movie batman with the animated Batman and the comic book batman of old. The look reminds me of the Neal Adams batman of old.

I don't have a Wii yet...
I know from Expirence with the Game Cube..
Most games I wanted,.. were only for the Xbox or the PS2 ...
I Really don't play as many games as I used too,.. my Son does most the playing these days,.. However I have Noticed that a Ton of Games out there are Not Avalible for the Wii,.. but the Wii has a Bunch of stuff others do not as well.

I finished it the other day and its a great experience. I still have to go through and do alot of the riddler challenges. (just got the solve 55% of riddler challenges achievement) it is definitly worth the money! im playing it on xbox 360
