Looks like Jim Baker's former wife died Sunday. I actually always considered her to be a victim of Jim. I remember watching her on the surreal life and she seemed like a good person. She even got along well with Ron Jeremy and Vanilla Ice (now that guy was an idiot!).

I saw that on the news a couple days ago. You know she went through a lot in her life, people really tore into her at times and she still kept her head held high all the way to the end. RIP.

i hope she finds the peace she didnt find on earth in heaven. rip
She was certainly a character. I don't exactly have much respect for Televangelists (and as cofounder of the PTL, she was just as much of one as Jim was), but she certainly provided her share of amusing antics to help compensate for the millions of dollars they bilked from their "ministry". The end of her life certainly could not have been much fun or very dignified.
May God have mercy on her soul.

The talk show she had with Jim J Bullock was great.
You must like to slow down to look at traffic accidents as well. :googly:

I dunno.... I can't see anyone who got a cut from a multi-million dollar industry based on bilking the lonely, the disenfranchaised and the scared as a victim. Horrible death or no; I have no sympathy for people like that.

My parents were bilked by the Bakers.
I guess it was around the early '80's and I remember they would watch the show every day...I generally ignored it at the time.
I think they used to contribute to their ministry...how much, I don't know but my parents didn't make a lot of money so I'm sure even minor amounts were a lot for them.
We had an RV and my parents did purchase a timeshare at Heritage Park USA and then another I don't know how much for lifetime admission to the water park.
I was forced to go because I was only a teenager but I did think it was a nice place. I read it was the 2nd most visited place aside from DisneyWorld and DisneyLand in U.S. the year the waterpark opened.
I went twice I think, my parents a couple of more before the whole house of cards fell.
My mom has held a grudge ever sense. I saw her on the Surreal Life and then saw her on Larry King the night before she died and was totally taken back by how sick she looked. Regardless of the money my parents were bilked out of, I thought it was sad to see her die in what looked like an extremely painful way.
