Why did I buy this again?

I'm sure we've all been there, you see a great BIN for an item not normally on your radar. Even though you buy it, you get that sort of confusion when it arrives.

This is my most recent purchase of oddity:

A boxed Ace Frehley. I went through a KISS phase in high school briefly, mostly focused on Ace. I always wanted the doll but the price always seemed way to high. I'd always tell myself, "when the price was right".

Sure enough the right BIN came around and I acted without thought, three weeks later, a man who doesn't own one KISS record is now the proud owner of this doll. I'm not sure if I'm going to go after the others.

Anyone else have a similiar experience?

I'm a HUGE KISS fan----but got rid of my KISS Megos a long time ago

I had bought them pre-Ebay thinking it was cool to have vintage KISS toys

problem was, I didn't grow up with 'em and never truly felt the need for "rock
band" toys--------at least not ones that cost all that much
    ---and stood twelve inches high

Once Ebay came around----bye-bye ----off to greener pastures
(i.e. toys that I really actually wanted)

Ya know---other than that---I rarely buy stuff I regret toywise

altho' I have been looking to unload a pretty big group of
modern 12 inch STAR WARS figures for a while (I bought them not realizing
my STAR WARS purchases were better off on vintage 4 inch figures!)
----I'll probably just give 'em to my drummer's 5 year old

Never had them as a kid either, I wanted them but I pretty much wanted everything I saw back then.

I think It's a great buy,I do the same thing all the time.Later on when I get it,I'm like why the hell did I buy this? but if it's a deal that you can't pass on get it and resell it if you have to,I say if you got it for less the $125 you did really good,The Peter always sell for the most followed closely by Ace.I love my Kiss fig's and would never get rid of them

Kiss mego's were HUGE in my hood as a kid. My brother had a couple. I'd love to have a full set. It's funny, after Apes and Heroes, the Kiss dolls are the third strongest nostalgia vibe I can tap into via Mego......

I probably wouldn't mind a set of custom KISS 8 inch figs to display with my
WGSH one of these days---at 8 inches, they'd be less of a "display hassle"
---its just a matter of timing (and maybe a Vinnie and Eric to boot!)

(thought I'd post that as another "shout out" to the KISS fans here!)

Oh yeah, been there, done that. Usually end up reselling after a while. Often I think something looks cool, more with modern stuff, and I buy it on impulse. Usually when I haven't picked up anything in a while and I am getting itching for something to arrive in the mail.

I have done that an untold number of times. Especially with non-mego stuff.

If I haven't found a good Mego deal, I start getting that itch. I start surfing eBay in search of anything from youth- NFL pencils, 7-11 slurpee cups, anything to get my nostalgia fix.

I still have a bunch fo Famous Covers I want to unload.

JUst try and remind yourself about the great deal you got.

Love the KISS figures, I got three of them when they first came out back when I was a kid. Me and my friend were huge KISS fans, and when he first told me about these figures, I thought he was lying (the guy was a big BS artist). When I first actually saw them on the shelves I was so excited. They only had a bunch of Pauls (big surprise) and one Peter, so I bought him (for $10, which was a lot of money for a kid like me back then). Later traded Peter for Ace, got a Gene for Christmas and bought a Paul on clearance at Zellers for 5 bucks. Still have them all these years later, but I really ought to get Peter again to complete the set.

Anyway, I've made similar purchases myself. I'm still wondering why I bought two of the Hasbro Charlie's Angels dolls last year. I'm also not sure if I should go after the others.

Yeah I know the felling. The urge to get one is starting to get to me,especially since I started watching Gene's little show on A&E.

The KISS figures are ones I'd like to get. Never had them before or even as a kid. But I need to finish my heroes first with a 12" Cap MIB. Damn hard to find at a good price, at least for me.

I have a boxed Laverne and Shirley I picked up on a whim after SOMEONE posted the cheap Buy It Now in Auction Watch. Why did I buy them? I do not know.
