How do I attach a Klingon head?

I have a vintage Klingon head that I am trying to put on a DM male body, and the bloody neck plug refuses to go in!

I tried the blow dryer and hot water. Neither worked.

How the heck do I attach this head without having to ruin it?

Well if you don't want to ruin the head try making the hole in the body a little bigger.

How do I make the neck hole bigger then? I am currently sans Dremel.

Would a coarse nail file do the trick?

If its a Klingon, won't it attach itself? Sorry, could not pass this easy laugh up.

A small file or use a drill bit and carefully enlarge the hole a little at a time. I have done this to several repro bodies to get the MEGO heads to fit. Just work slowly and take off a little at a time. Dont get the drill too deep in the hole or you will cut the strings or bands and end up with a restringing body project too!

I hate Kling-ons. Hurts like hell removing those little PITA.

Actually, I dunked the thing in really hot water, and shoved it in with a crochet hook.

                  Thanks for the advice, guys.

Boiling water is great, isn't it--good for switching out hands, too.

                    Jaida, you need a Dremel! I have a mini one, & even that's a god-send.

Wrapping sandpaper around a dowel is also a useful way to enlarge circular openings. The exacto is better for altering the waxy vintage bodies.

Thanks for the advice, I guess that a trip to Sears is in order for me.

Wasn't boiling water, it was hot water straight from the tap. It softened up the head enough for me to squish it in.

Of course, there's no getting it out now.

I will have to order another body from Doc for my Tarzan custom, along with a dagger and some furry shorts.
